The Investment Reporter, in its May 25, 2023, issue, refreshes its buy of Nuvei Corp., recently $46.96. The Reporter said to buy Nuvei once before on May 5, 2023, at $54.62. Assuming a $1,000 purchase, the $1,000 investment would now be worth $845. The company provides payment technology and software to businesses across North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. The Reporter notes that Nuvei's stock is priced well below its 52-week high of close to $68 and its all-time high of nearly $176 in 2021. An expensive valuation, rising interest rates and economic uncertainty have contributed to the decline. More recently, the stock fell sharply on May 10 after Nuvei issued a disappointing second quarter guidance, below the consensus forecast. Despite Q2 guidance being lower than expected, the company actually increased its guidance for the full year. The Reporter says buy Nuvei for above average long-term capital appreciation.
