The TSX Venture Exchange lost 5.05 points to close at 749.64 Wednesday. Blair Wilson has listed his second capital pool shell, Spartan Acquisition Corp. (VDKA: $0.30), with a
$547,700 initial public offering at 20 cents. Its IPO agent was Haywood Securities Inc. Today there were four trades, each at 30 cents, totalling 192,500 shares.
Mr. Wilson, 57, is a chartered accountant and a businessman. Since 1991, he has been the president and chief executive officer of Canadian ecoEquity Corp., which offers financing for environmentally friendly residential, commercial and industrial building improvements. Since 1989, his wife, Kelly Wilson, has been the president of Apple Orchard RV
Ltd., which offers part of a Kelowna apple orchard for rent as a recreational vehicle camping ground. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson continue to manage both of their businesses. They also have a company called Forbidden Spirits Distilling Co., which makes vodka from apples.
