Robert Kidd's first capital pool shell, Logica Ventures Corp. (LOG: $0.12), has closed its $300,000 initial public offering at 10 cents. Its IPO agent was Echelon Wealth Partners Inc. Today, the stock opened at 10 cents and closed at 12 cents on 170,000 shares.
Mr. Kidd, 58, lives in Toronto. From 2001 to 2004, he was the president and chief executive officer of Connor, Clark & Lunn Capital Markets Inc. Then from 2004 to 2008, he was the president and CEO of another investment management firm, Gatehouse Capital Inc., which was later acquired by Redwood Asset Management Inc.
From January to December, 2016, Mr. Kidd was the president and CEO of Artemis Investment Management Ltd. Then from December, 2016, to January, 2018, he was the CEO of Marquest Asset Management Inc. These days, he is a director of Gold Miners Split Corp. (GLC: $18.01), a closed-end mutual fund corporation. Gold Miners went public on the NEO Exchange in May, 2019, with a $30.03-million IPO. It sold Class A shares at $15 and preferred shares at $10.
