Stockwatch presents a series of public forums on topics of interest to investors and public companies.
Anyone is welcome to read these forums. In order to post you must register for a forum ID. You can remain as anonymous as you wish.
These forums have a different structure than most investment chat sites. There are a few top-level "forums" which represent broad subject areas, such as public company discussions, or VSE affairs.
Within each forum are one or more conferences. A conference in the public company forum, for instance, will be devoted to a single company.
Within each conference are any number of threads. Posters can start threads with a particular subject, and anyone can respond to any message in the threaded list. Relationships between parent article and replies are maintained and displayed, similar to the way Usenet newsreaders work. Threads are displayed in chronological order (threads with the most recent messages at the top) and can be expanded to show all messages within the thread.
When you click on the thread list you will be able to see all the messages in that thread, on one page.
We believe this format will encourage posters to present worthwhile posts, and we hope the usual clutter of meaningless one line messages addressed to some other poster, such as you see on most investment chat sites, will be minimized.
