Margarita (Rita) Alter has filed a preliminary prospectus to list her first capital pool shell,
A-Labs Capital V Corp. The shell plans to sell a $200,000 to $500,000 initial public offering at 10 cents through Leede Jones Gable Inc.
Ms. Alter works at Doron Cohen's Israeli corporate finance advisory firm, A-Labs Finance and Advisory Ltd. It was Mr. Cohen who started the A-Labs Capital series of shells. No shell in the series has managed to complete a qualifying transaction yet, but Mr. Cohen and his colleagues keep creating more shells.
Mr. Cohen, 45, lives in Israel. He has worked at several mobile and telecommunications software companies. In 2007, he founded a mobile marketing firm called Volas Entertainment Ltd. In 2012, Volas was acquired for an undisclosed amount by Digital Turbine Inc. (APPS: $7.33 (U.S.)), a Nasdaq-listed mobile marketing firm in Texas. Mr. Cohen then joined Digital Turbine and was the head of its EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) division until 2014.
