The Canadian Securities Exchange Composite Index lost 1.44 points to 537.16 Wednesday. The Yield Growth Corp. (BOSS) fell half a cent to 33 cents on 1.1 million shares. The company plans to launch its hemp skin care brand Urban Juve at the ipsy Live event in New York on Oct. 11 to Oct. 13. The event will have 4,000 of the trendily named "influencers and cosmetic enthusiasts." Yield Growth seems to be interested in marketing the brand through "influencer marketing campaigns," which presumably means advertising the product through what are called "Instagram influencers." Instagram influencers typically are attractive women who have built a following on the platform. These influencers, who often have millions of followers, are paid by companies to post photos with the company's product and they will often write a short blurb about the product. Sometimes the influencer will not actually mention that it is an advertisement, which has caused its own controversy.
